The Krông Hin hydroelectric power plant, located in Ea M’đoan commune, M’Drak district, Đăk Lăk province, is the first privately funded and operated hydroelectric project in Vietnam. This hydroelectric project is invested and managed by the Mekong Construction Company, with construction commencing at the end of 2003 and an investment capital of over 102 billion Vietnamese dong.

In July 2006, the Krông Hin hydroelectric power plant officially began generating electricity. The project consists of two units with a capacity of 5 MW each, a water intake pipe system, a water conveyance channel, and over 5,000 meters of pressure pipes. Since its operation, the Krông Hin hydroelectric plant has integrated nearly 30 million kWh into the national grid each year. Additionally, thanks to the water supply from the plant, hundreds of hectares of crops belonging to the residents of Ea M’đoan and Cư Króa communes receive irrigation water.

HGPT Mechanical is honored to participate in the Krông Hin hydroelectric project, contributing to strengthening the Central Vietnam power grid and the nation as a whole.
