On September 15, the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association held its 6th congress for the term 2018-2021. Attending the meeting, there were Deputy Secretary of Danang People’s Committee (DPC) – Vo Cong Tri, Chairman of Danang People’s Committee – Huynh Duc Tho, Chairman of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association – Dang Hong Anh and 525 members, representing 55 Young Entrepreneurs’ Association from provinces/cities across the country.
Speaking at the Congress, The municipal People’s Committee (PC) Chairman Mr. Huynh Duc Tho highly appreciated the contribution of the Young Entrepreneurs Association for their active involvement in promoting the city’s socio-economic development over recent years. Throughout last year, the Association’s members were actively involved in creating close links with each other for mutual benefit, and they organised numerous thematic seminars and training courses to boost their production activities. They also jointly implemented numerous local welfare programmes and charitable activities.

In the current context, Mr. Tho wants the Young Entrepreneurs Association and the City’s entrepreneurs to be active, creative and adapt to the challenging business environment of the 4th scientific and technical revolution. Enterprises need to quickly apply technology and digital transformation to catch up with the flow of the 4.0 revolution or they will be eliminated very quickly. He pledged that the city’s authorities will create a healthy and fair business environment for local businesses, and issue even more inventive policies to help them operate effectively in the city.
According to the President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association is one of the leading birds, making many important contributions to the Entrepreneur Community as well as contributing to the local economic development. Mr. Anh said, with more than 500 members, in the past term, it has created jobs for 50,000 workers, contributed VND 40 trillion to the city’s economy, contributed nearly 4 trillion VND to the State budget. Also according to Mr. Anh, the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association has created many groundbreaking initiatives, which have many suggestions and critics in the city’s economic policies.
Also at the congress, DPC’s Standing Deputy Secretary, as authorized by the President, presented the second-class Labor Medal to Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Especially, the Congress elected the Executive Board of the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association course VI (term 2018 – 2021) with 60 people, including 30 people on the Standing Committee. The president of the Young Entrepreneurs Association course VI is Mr. Ha Duc Hung (1978), Director of Ha Giang Phuoc Tuong Mechanical Joint Stock Company.
